TAITE salad servers' design is founded on simple shapes and high-quality craftsmanship. Created for Finnish Design Shop’s anniversary collection, the design is based on a laser cut piece of metal that bent to a cup-like shape with a hole in the middle, before attaching it to an oak handle with the help of beech wedges. The natural grain and simple form of the handle beautifully highlight the bent shape of the metal sheet, giving the salad servers their name, Taite (Finnish for ”a fold” or ”a pleat”). The lovely, minimalist salad servers come in a handmade oak gift box.
